Former Premier League defender Jlloyd Samuel has died at the age of just 37.
Samuel was killed in a car crash on Tuesday morning, the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association announced in a statement.
He switched allegiances to play for Trinidad and Tobago in 2009 and won two senior caps for the twin island republic.
“We’ve received some terrible news that former National defender and Ex-Aston Villa and Bolton Wanderers player Jlloyd Samuel died in a car crash this morning in England,” read a statement from the Trinidad and Tobago FA.
